Deadra Welcome, CPLP is the CEO/Founder of Concerning Learning, LLC.
Deadra brings more than 20 years of experience as a learning strategist, business partner, program manager, performance consultant, facilitator, and instructional designer. She is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance as well as a Certified Performance Consultant.
Deadra also is an active member and volunteer with the Metro DC Association for Talent Development (ATD) Chapter. She has served in numerous positions in the following roles: Vice President of Learning, Director of Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Director of Professional Development, Mentoring Partnership Program Manager, Advisory Board Member.
In addition, she has served in roles to support National ATD in the following roles, Field Editor for ATD Links electronic newsletter, and ATD Volunteer Coordinator for the ATD Leaders Conference (ALC) for 2013 and 2014 as well as a member of the ALC Program Advisory Committee (PAC) for 2015 and 2016.
As a published writer, Deadra wrote is the author of Don’t Get Left Behind: Taking Charge of Your Professional Development in 30 Days and the Using Passion to Become a True Business Partner for the July 2011 edition of the ATD’s T+D Magazine. In addition, she served as a Featured Blogger for GovLoop, and a guest blogger for the ATD Government Community of Practice.
Deadra has been a guest presenter for the Leadership Girl Virtual Summit, Bowie State University Spring Human Resource Development Symposium, International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) Potomac Chapter, National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA), Chesapeake Bay Organizational Development Network (CBODN) Government SIG, and Next Generation of Government Training Summit, the Training Officer’s Consortium (TOC) Annual Institute, and 2016 Helping You Grow DC Conference. She continues to be a regular contributor on the Quit Bleeping Around Podcast Series and facilitates workshops and training for clients on leadership, mentoring, business, human resources, and professional development topics.
